December 26. 2019 12:15 am, EST 4 Degrees Capricorn Capricorn New Moon Eclipse Oppose North Node Conjunct Jupiter in Capricorn Trine Uranus Square Chiron Saturn Conjunct Pluto
It’s Eclipse season again! Occurring smack in the middle of the holidays this year. Capricorn/Cancer Eclipses always gives us more of a push in a structured way, than the other eclipses. We take note of our accomplishments and what we’ve created in our home/family life and in our career. We notice areas where it seems we haven’t succeeded and where we need to put a little more effort in to get to the next level. If you’re struggling now, give it some time and patience. Reflect what goals need to be reviewed and how you may need to recenter and refocus yourself.
“Eclipses are times of intense stress when big changes push us and help us realign with our purpose and vision. ”
— Lara Noel
Eclipses are times of intense stress when big changes push us and help us realign with our purpose and vision. Sometimes this means we are letting go of past relationships, jobs, behaviors. And sometimes it means we are committing more deeply to people, to our path and getting opportunities to succeed.
Opportunities is a theme for this Capricorn New Moon with it conjunct Jupiter and the South Node. This is a South Node Eclipse with 5 planets now in Capricorn. The South Node and Capricorn both bring forth Karmic patterns and past lifetimes/behaviors which can create a very heavy and serious feel. Capricorn reminds us that in the process of growing and maturing, we often need to take on more responsibility and have a reality check about what’s actually happening in our life.
Capricorn can seem cold, mean, stubborn, and unyielding. It shows us where we feel limited. Where our perspective is narrow and pessimistic. It reveals the obstacles we need to overcome and the persistence that’s required to achieve our goal. You want something? Saturn will remind you that hard work and perseverance are needed to get there. During this time it’s important to take extra care of your health. Through Capricorn we materialize unresolved emotions through our body in the form of sickness, bone, muscle, and joint issues.
We can feel stuck and limited in our perspective and in our physical reality. With three outer planets in Capricorn, Pluto, Saturn, and Jupiter, try not to let depression set in. Keep moving. Keep inspired through reading or listening to meditations and audiobooks. Make sure you mind is staying focused on the positive even for short moments throughout the day. Otherwise you run the risk of falling into the dark Capricorn hole. Struggling and feeling overwhelmed and defeated. Keep your perspective wide and remember this is just a passing moment. That doesn’t mean get lazy and don’t do anything. It means stay focused, loosen your grip on trying to control everything, and relax into the challenge.
On the positive side, which is a stretch sometimes for Dear Cap, you could be getting a promotion in your career and taking on more responsibilities in that way. Maybe your family is growing through the birth of a child or a parent needs more support. It’s time to get focused on a path. But it’s not about settling for something. If you’re in transition with your career, stay focused on the goal even if you’re needing to do some grunt work in the meantime that isn’t super inspiring. Capricorn brings us structure and stability, in areas of work and family. That raise you’ve been wanting, or the business you’ve been working on, could be coming into reality now.
This New Moon falls on the day after Christmas when many of us will be coming down from all the excitement and stress, still spending time with family and remembering all the triggers we thought we’d outgrown. The South Node conjunction reminds us of our past, how we’ve grown, and behaviors we need to leave behind. The New Moon reminds us it’s time to plant new seeds and goals, and start anew. Let this time be an exploration of all of that so we can release and move forward during the Cancer Full Moon Eclipse.
We also have a strong Pluto/Saturn conjunction happening next month which will be exact right around the time of the January Cancer Full Moon Eclipse. This begins a 28 year Saturn cycle with Pluto where we are making big changes in our life and feeling the pressure of stepping up. Transformation is the key with Pluto, and mix Saturn in there and we have a strong impulse to control, or get in control. It also helps us recognize that we aren’t in control of certain things. This might create, abusive behaviors and a temper that’s simmering underneath a calm facade.
During the next few weeks we will be solidifying our path in some areas of our life, and letting go of other areas, try as hard as we might to hold on. We get stripped down to what’s essential, important, and real, clearing out what’s superfluous and wasteful, and streamlining our lives. The process might be uncomfortable and we may resist and bitch and scream. Stay strong and steady and you’ll find light and liberation on the other side.
