Setting and living your intentions allows you to focus on who you are in the moment, to recognize and live your values, and to raise your emotional and physical energy. Take the time to meditate, plan your strategies, and gather your resources so you can make the best of what the Universe has to offer you each month. Once you’ve have a picture of the challenges and openings to come, you can navigate each moment, and live in rhythm with the Universal energies that await you. As above, so below.

Happy Sagittarius New Moon! Sagittarius can be one of the most charming and loveable signs of the zodiac.  Embarking on adventure, seeking independence, telling great stories, seeing life half-full. When Sag is in the Light, they’re determined on achieving their goals and can bust through obstacles with a skip in their step. They seek the truth, well, their truth, and are excited about sharing it with others. They love exploring new theories, concepts, relationships and cultures. They’re creative, inspired and masterful at their craft. They are considered the “Lucky” sign of the zodiac, with archetype of Jupiter bestowing abundance and joy in whatever he touches.

However, Sagittarius in their shadow can be quite the opposite. They can be deeply pessimistic when things don’t go their way, with a natural sense that things should, and often do, come easily for them. They can be overbearing, giving advice and sharing their perspective when no one asked or is interested. They can be blunt, insensitive, sarcastic, and unaware of how their words affect others. Boredom can set in quickly for this zodiac sign, and their desire for independence and adventure may develop into a lack of commitment in relationships and life choices. While they may enjoy living this way, to the rest of the world they seem like Peter Pan, never growing up and always chasing the next “best” thing.

This Sagittarius New Moon is highlighting Chiron and Uranus. The New Moon, Jupiter, and Venus in Capricorn will be contacting them, and Mars in Scorpio will be in strong opposition to Uranus. This brings in opportunity for healing, breakthroughs, and new awarenesses and direction. In the process we may be having to face old wounds, or fears around change. While Sagittarius might love change and newness, Scorpio and Capricorn prefer stability, loyalty, and depth.

We’ll be navigating these themes and polarities during this new moon. One thing Sag offers is the opportunity to create change in the direction of one’s desire. We have perfect astrological weather to reach our goals, even though we may go through some discomfort in the process. We just made it through Scorpio season and Mercury retrograde in Scorpio, so we are well seasoned in discomfort and uncertainty at the moment. Use what you learned during the last month to get inspired and light a fire under yourself to reach places you thought were impossible to get to. Sagagittarius is the Storyteller so think about the story you want to create and live. Be the author of your own life, and believe it’s possible!

Jupiter is the ruler of Sagittarius, so his current placement has a big influence on this New Moon. Jupiter is finishing up his last week in his home sign and will be offering us new possibilities. He just finished a conjunction to Venus who has since moved into Capricorn for this New Moon. Almost as if she’s holding Jupiter’s hand and gently guiding him into a sign that he’s less comfortable in to help lessen the shock. Jupiter will move into Capricorn on December 2nd and stay in the sign of structure, discipline and maturity until December 19, 2020.

Jupiter and Venus together give us love, inspiration, abundance, and sometimes an overly optimistic attitude. Excess is the name of the game with these two, and the only thing putting the brakes on them is the fact that Venus is in practical Capricorn. This pair encourages us to buy that shiny new toy, to take the risk we’ve only been talking about, to up the game on our romantic life, and especially with Capricorn involved, to take a look at our finances more closely.

Mercury in Scorpio has only just turned direct and is in a Trine to Neptune in Pisces, so it’s important to remember that communication may be off, our perspectives on things may change in the next week or two, and new information might arise, causing a shift in our thoughts and plans.

We also can’t forget that this is Thanksgiving week here in the United States and what a perfect blend of Jupiter and Venus to remind us to find gratitude for the abundance that we all have, however little it may seem sometimes. They’re also the most gluttonous combination so careful how much you eat!! And while this holiday is controversial for good reason, we have the opportunity to turn it into a day of remembrance for the genecide that occured in order for us to be living here on this land today.

Along with the New Moon, Venus will also be contacting Chiron and Uranus in a square and trine. Expect old hurts to surface during this holiday season, as is typical, but take the opportunity to face the discomfort and repair relationships if possible. Sometimes healing also means creating healthy boundaries for yourself, so don’t hesitate to say “no” if you’re not being treated well, or you realize you’re taking on too much. Venus reminds us that self-love and self-care is necessary for emotional and mental wellbeing.

Another strong influence for this New Moon is Mars in Scorpio in opposition to Uranus in Taurus. While this opposition will have already passed by the time the New Moon arrives, we will have been feeling it all week leading up to the New Moon. Expect irritation, outbursts, passion, and unpredictability. This combo is not for the light of heart, so if you’re sensitive, or know you have anger issues, be extra cautious and use strategies that will help you stay calm and take a pause before reacting.

Jupiter and Sagittarius expand what they touch, so be clear on what energy you’re putting out right now. Too much of anything will feel suffocating, which is the exact opposite of what Sagittarius desires. Intend for harmony, abundance, and gratitude to infiltrate every aspect of your life, and watch them grow.
