August 29 - Mercury moves into Virgo

Aug 29th - Mercury moves into his home sign of Virgo, he’s happy here. However, with all the other planets also in Virgo, we might be feeling a little Virgo overloaded right now. As we enter Autumn, it represents the natural cycle of slowing down and gathering our resources. Our focus is on preservation and and nourishment, as we prepare ourselves to go inward for spiritual introspection. There is a beautiful transformation that takes place in Autumn, as the leaves flower - and show us the transformational ritual of release. With Mercury in Virgo, our thoughts are strong, analytical and even anxious. We are getting ready for the fall, going back to school and/or getting into a more regular routine - we release practices and thoughts that do not work for us. As we make adjustments, and let go - Virgo can easily focus too heavily on the wrongs of what’s not working. We think about what’s wrong with ourselves and others, and may even suffer with feelings of guilt or inadequacy. As we step into this energy of routine and release …. Include and introduce meditation, mindfulness and body-centered practices to keep your mind and body healthy during this time. Try to avoid obsessing, perfectionist thinking and being overcritical. Virgo can easily focus on what’s not working - and steal our focus from our progress. From a detached observer’s perspective - Go through what is and isn’t working, in all systems of your life. Find practical ways to simplify and become more efficient. By the time Virgo season is ending, our life will have been completely reorganized for the better we will have learned to love ourself and others for all our imperfections!
